"Olaf" isn’t "dead"

April 18 2004

Rumours of Olaf Bjorklund's death have been greatly exaggerated.  More likely, my blog entry about Olaf's death sent the hit counter on that weblog through the roof, and the person behind the nom de plume decided that they might as well keep it going.
At least I can sleep at night knowing that I was correct in questioning his "death".  However, the US$25 to charity offer still stands for information leading to the unmasking of the real author.  It's clear from this new entry that the writer reads this blog and others -- but has conveniently not responded to any of the topics reporting on "his death".  If it were a real person, even with their somewhat broken command of the English language, I imagine I'd have an inbox or blog full of indignancy.
Heck, this mystery irritates me enough that I might even start thinking of an offer sweetener besides the aforementioned charity donation.  Bounty hunters, your suggestions on appropriate rewards are welcome.
In the meantime, it's supposed to be 80 degrees F here today and sunny, so I think I should finish that cycle shopping....
