IM don’t believe in coincidences

How lame is this -- MS is blocking AIM access
from the TechEd network???
but yet, of course...
(Updated later in the day -- turns out
that they are filtering a whole bunch of ports, including 5190 ... and
1352. I haven't been able to update the blog all day because they
are blocking 1352. This sucks. I'm trying to get them to open
it... one of the network helpdesk people (who are not MS people)
said he'd try to get it opened up. He looked at my badge and said
"did you write an article on Lotus Notes or something?" LOL)

score one for the Scotsman.
Of course, you could just flame on about Notes as a blogging tool, as one colleague of mine decided to do. I'll rant about that later this mornning.

I have the freeware for you, email or IM me later

One thing I've done in the past is to use a freeware proxy software package on my PC, set notes up to use the http proxy on my PC and tunnel out via that. It *usually* gets out of all the most switched-on corporates..
