Joe Litton on learning Java
August 4 2003
Joe Litton notes his observations on the market, based in part on a recent e-Pro Webcast:
If your development world is primarily in the IBM/Lotus arena, your world is moving to Java.I like the clarity of Joe's thoughts on this. I also like the fact that he's citing Arthur Fontaine's webcast as authoritative. There was a time when Artie had a little bit of a challenge communicating with the Domino development community about this whole Domino+WebSphere = good thing. Arthur is one of the good guys, folks, and few have worked harder to do the right thing for Domino developers. Good to see the recognition. Thanks, Joe.

Answering in my official capacity...
The recording is not quite available yet, but should be any time now. When it is, it will be in the list at: http://www.e-promag.com/webcasts/

Ed, Thanks for the compliment (I'm often cited as exhibiting anything but clarity!). Arthur Fontaine's presentation definitely gets all thanks, and once it is available on the e-pro site, everyone should view it. This presentation really brought it all home for me, and got me motivated to drink even MORE coffee and nail this J2EE stuff (and the Domino JSP tag library!).

Hi, can I find this Arthur Fontaine webcast or at least a summary of it somewhere. On pentontech.com I did not find it - maybe I am blind.
Thanks in advance for any help.
