Lots to write about the last few days in Vegas -- a few more restaurants, the Cirque du Soleil show, and my decision on a new cell phone -- but just a short one for now.

A real surprise for me was that during a walk around the Venetian hotel between sales meeting sessions on Friday, I discovered that one of their restaurants is called Tsunami Asian Grill.  Seems like the marketing department should have been in a big hurry to rename that place.

My old employer/contractor called their Intranet "Tsunami", to ride the wave of information. When it was named, many of us tried to convince those in power that since we were half owned by a Japanese company, it might not be nice to name our Intranet after a disaster that has killed thousands of people in their homeland. That was 5 years ago. My friends who are still there told me there was an emergency change sent through the other week to completely revamp the site and change its name...

1-2-3 for Win32 (I think) had the code name Tsunami.
