Image:DoYouKnowLotus.com opens for Lotus Knows video submissions on Monday

www.doyouknowlotus.com is now online -- and just about ready for your "Lotus Knows..." video submissions.

We invite you to create short videos on how you know Lotus. See examples on the Entries Tab. These videos should showcase specific capabilities that demonstrate how end users know Lotus. Be creative, Be original, Be specific. Have Fun!

As part of this effort, we will selecting some of the most original and compelling videos to showcase on a new web landing environment that we will be launching in September and in other marketing tactics. You might even see your video at Lotusphere!
I've tried to strike the words "landing environment" when we talk externally because it is not exactly a term the typical IT or line-of-business person might know or understand.  What it means is the website content that will soon inhabit lotuskknows.com and parts of ibm.com/lotus.  We want there to be real-world demos and examples of Lotus solutions on those pages -- not just blah blah blah from IBM.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm not quite up to making videos, but there are many in the community who could do this well, and it certainly speaks volumes to customers. Good to see IBM taking some risks and trying new initiatives. Kudos!

To be clear, the "videos" could simply be a product demo type deal done in camtasia that shows off your favorite feature.

Agree. And if someone is talented with the video camera (*hint*: VIMEO.COM for inspiration), it can be as extensive as another District 9 movie. ;)
