Thank you IBM for putting together this guide to coincide with the D8 official release.
It is very helpfull to see this type of information available at the start of a new product release. It helps with the upgrade planning immensely!

The Redbook states that roaming and multiuser installation are unsupported with Notes 8. Is this something we will see in 8.0.1?

I notice one big mistake in the strategy for deploying Notes 8 clients. The installation of the IBM productivity tools is not included by default. Too many deployments will go on without it being activated. It will mean in a lot of predominantly MS shops users will not be given the chance to try it out. In particular it may mean that subversive non IT people like me who plan to start sending ODF documents, attached to a lot of my internal mail, to people from the CEO down on the basis its supported by Notes - you can open it.
Oh well I guess I better start some internal ODF evangelism before we upgrade to Notes 8.
