Remember when in 2005 Ed wrote about IBM creating a blogging policy for employees?   Some people found it odd, while some people found it industry leading.   Many companies model their blogging guideliness after ours.  Well love them or hate them, IBM has now created a similar set of guidelines for our employees with respect to virtual worlds.

IBM writes guidelines for virtual worlds

IBM's rules — which apply to Second Life, Entropia Universe, Forterra, and other worlds — are logical extensions of the real world: Don't discuss intellectual property with unauthorized people. Don't discriminate or harass.  Guidelines also include a 21st-century version of the Golden Rule: "Be a good 3D Netizen."
