Mac Guidera is the new track manager for the Lotusphere Best Practices track, and he's come out of the gate running hard:
This year, I am suggesting we get social about this. If you plan on submitting or attending a session in the Best Practices track, then please head over to IdeaJam and write up what you would like to present or see at Lotusphere. No need to have a professional title and full on abstract there, I'm thinking more just a topic and a little detail on it. I think it would be great for the community at large to lay down what is important for us and what we are expecting from the Best Practices track.Fantastic effort. I like the initiative and I think the community will have great input on this.

Chris, I think that is only a problem if you assume that what is being put on IdeaJam is the only resource for Lotusphere sessions.
That being said. Go use it!

As I said in my post { Link } about submitting a good session, IdeaJam is an innovative tool that simply provides an additional 'data point' in our considerations. While we'll definitely take the results of IdeaJam into our consideration, it is by no means an authoritative source for BP session determination.
So, I encourage people to try out a topic on IdeaJam, and see what type of response you get; however do NOT assume you shouldn't post it if you don't get the response you desire for your idea. Mac and I will thoroughly scrutinize each session, regardless of the IdeaJam results, and evaluate them on how they fit into the track themes, the topic itself, and so on.
So, please keep submitting to the BP track, folks, ok?

The only problem with this approach is that the assumption that Ideajam truly represents a cross-section of the Lotusphere attendee universe.
