Image:Lotus Notes/Domino 7 Live! videos now downloadable!

The IBM Lotus marketing team produced two videos for the Notes/Domino 7 launch.  Those who have been to launch events already (such as the great Hoosier-loyal crowd in Indianapolis today) have seen these great productions.  Even better, my colleague Jon Raslawski has made these available for download on lotus.com (and told me about them even before the web pages have been updated with these links!).

There are two... warning, they're BIG!

Awesome! Could we all chip in few bucks and get a 60 second version of that onto TV? ;-)

Great videos Ed - very very impressed.

Lots of Workspaces on show though! Was this a deliberate ploy to emphasise the backward-compatibility, no rip'n'replace message?

is the 90 second one a subset of the 5 minute one?

to answer my own question I downloaded both and it is not a subset. You need both videos.

Love them. How about during the SuperBowl....man I must be dreaming.

I simply don't like those folks in the 5 minutes video.

I tried to create some empathy. I can't.

Some people might subscribe to this "not every 4 years a paradigm shift" argument. There certainly are some points for and against it. Its just that for me the against arguments are way stronger.

    Interesting. Thanks.

Good videos. The shorter one should be edited down and used for TV, instead of the "King Arther vs Corporate Meeting" analogous stuff IBM is currently running. There's no point in spending all the production monies on a message that's only going to be seen by Lotus devotees anyway, and the way that M$ is pushing some of their products to the SMB space is (I think) making more contact in the right medium. I keep hearing radio ads for their Sametime competitor and I have yet to see or hear any media (other than print) on Sametime from IBM Lotus. My 2■

In my opinion, these videos are good but not great. They sell the product, but they don't *SELL* the product. I disagree with the other posters - the adverts lack enough impact or energy to be put on TV, people would tune them out.

I attended the IBM Forum 05 here in New Zealand this week and at the start of the Notes/Domino R7 session they played a fantastic video which hit you with all the key pain points of Exchange as strengths of Notes/Domino (sick of viruses, sick of security problems, etc).

It was high energy and the messages were direct and simple and it has huge appeal. This is the advert IBM should be leading with, this is the advert that should be on TV, this is the advert that should be up here for us to download to use to (re)sell Domino in our organisations.

The one played at IBM Forum 05 was definately a better video than any of the ones linked above. Ask the other 3 people who were there at the New Zealand ND7 release, I'm sure they'll agree.

Well done. See if you can get the one used in New zealand for comparison. Thanks.

Maybe I'm just a lemming.....can we a least agree....step in the right direction? Although the Dennis Leary Videos were the best.

@14: Agreed. I used to have those on my hard drive way back when. I heard that campaign ended when IBM backed out of the contract when Dennis insulted the pope or somesuch during his stand-up.

@11: Is there a place we can get that video?
