The IBM events calendar is starting to list out Lotusphere Comes to You dates and cities, including a decent list in the US, many of the Asian locations, and a few of the European ones.  More will be added over time, and I believe business partners interested in hosting an LCTY can still contact our partner team about doing so.

So far, I am committed to speak at the following LCTY events: edcom machlese /München, February 11; Düsseldorf, February 15; Hamburg, February 16; Århus, Denmark, March 17, and Copenhagen, March 18.  I imagine I'll be asked about a few more of these, especially since the Notes/Domino strategy presentation is among the content selected for many of the events.  I've also committed to two other engagements during that March trip to Europe -- an evening user group event in Copenhagen on 17 March with the notesnet.dk crew, and a meeting of the Belgian Lotus User Group in Brussels on March 19.

Thanks for pointing this out so quick. Waiting for the St Louis date!

    Thanks for posting.

Surprised not to see Washington D.C. on the list yet. Ditto for Los Angeles.

Nice to see the IBM Executive Briefing Center in Palisades, NY on the list. But is this locaton in lieu of New York City?

Scratch the L.A. comment. I just looked up where El Segundo is. :)

@3: Some of the events Ed specifically references aren't listed yet on the website, so I'm sure more are on the way.

    Ed

How does the selecting process goes where you attend to and where not ?

Ed - As witnessed by my own ignorance above (@2), I think it would be a good idea to list the "major market" that is served by each specific city.

e.g. El Segundo = Los Angeles / Southwest

Question: Does Palisades, NY = NYC Metro? (I hope not.)

This would be especially helpful for BPs planning to attend certain markets and for customers, that are "close enough" but just far away enough to not necessarily know the particular suburb.

Two cents from the loyal peanut gallery.

@6 for me personally? It usually depends on where I am asked and how it fits in my schedule. For the executive speakers more generally, there is a request process that goes through our launch marketing team. For breakout sessions, they are usually covered by someone in a local market - in the US/Canada, though, that can include those of us in the product team.

Put simply, I go where I am invited and when it fits my calendar. Unfortunately my calendar gets filled up quickly (as can be seen from the six events in Feb/March already) but there is probably room for more.

I love the theme "the power of community...." That is definitely what Lotus is all about!

Are the events published as an iCal feed? Would have made a great demo at LS#09 :-)

Heard there is no showcase at the Lotusphere Comes To You events this year? Is this true? Why the change?

Ed, you state that you will speak at the LCTY event in Denmark on March 17 and 18 but according to the ibm.com LCTY event page the events in Denmark take place on March 3 and 4. Who is right here? Thanks :-)

  1. 15  Ed Brill http://www.edbrill.com |

@14 both are right. There are currently scheduled two sets of LCTY events in Aarhus and Copenhagen -- March 3/4 with Mary Beth Raven as keynote and March 17/18 with me as keynote. I only learned of this on Friday and am trying to find out the full details of the two different sets of events.
