MC Press Online: IBM Workplace: More than just Notes on steroids
February 14 2005
IBM's Dirk Nicol was interviewed for this article...
This is the new locus of interaction that IBM Workplace is designed to address: It is designed to function not only as a collaboration platform, but as a collaborative application development platform in which new solutions from the entire range of tools can be forged. This article covers a relatively broad set of subthemes around Workplace -- target audience, branding, development tools and APIs, and more.
IBM Workplace--as a brand of products--is designed to pull together a constellation of standards-based collaborative tools onto a platform or into a framework where the users themselves can begin to fashion their own environments within this virtual collaborative space, a place where the users will be responsible for tailoring and developing the solutions to their unique work problems.

Great, despite trying to "compare" Domino & Workplace...Camparing a part of IBM Workplace (Domino) with the entire puzzle (Workplace) makes no sense to me and brings the confusion workplace is the "next version" of Domino. Noone is better they are different.
And by the way, if he really wanted to compare specific features, his conclusions look much more like an anticipation movie right know : ease of use, ease of deployments, great templateing facilities etc...are much more domino world kind of things (or he never tried to use them in workplace :))
