Earlier this week, we released Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 1. As I blogged earlier in the month, this release includes the new Traveler High Availability solution, but there are additional goodies.
In the Traveler client for Android, two new monthly calendar views are available, as well as a tablet-oriented view for both mail and calendar.
The Android client also features several back-end enhancements, including security features
- prohibit camera
- prohibit copy to clipboard
- Prohibit export to file system (get asked for this one a lot!)
- Password expiration and history count
There is much more. Find all the details in the wiki:

I managed to install UP1 (8.5.3.100) on top of 8.5.3.2 but had to fix two issues:
a) Add Administrator role to LotusTraveler.nsf
b) set the 'Java servlet support' to None in server doc / Internet Protocols... / Domino Web Engine / Java Servlets.

We upgraded - and I like the Android Calendars a lot. But: the performance on a Motorola Dual Core Tablet (original Xoom) and an Galaxy Nexus is not quite good. Can this be the fault of Traveler - or due to an big mailbox-file?

Can you provide any information about the security architecture of the android traveler client?
Do I understand right, that all synchronized data will be stored inside an encrypted container, that can be password protected?
Is access of other apps to the traveler data ruled out, so the company data is secure?
Regards,
Alexander

i am sorry to say that IBM developers team about lotus traveler is so silly that they give no option to print email from traveler client for android.

@t Farooq Hayder:
You are joking... I never saw Android or iOS application providing printing capability.
Now, on Android 4.0 ICS, just press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time. You’ll see an animation on the screen, indicating that the screenshot was saved. Android will save the screenshot to your Gallery.
On previous Android versions, use Android screen capture on Android SDK manager. But you need to connect your device to a Linux or Window PC.

@Fred Travelor
iOS has the option to print in Traveler 8.5.3.1 just by hitting the menu button with the option to Reply or Forward.
On the same version of Traveler for Android, that option is not available.

How can I merge the schedule of the traveler with ANDROID and gmail?

What I don't understand is, is this the next release after 8.5.3.2 or this a new feature release of traveler? Can I update from 8.5.3.2 to this version? Or do I have to wait for 8.5.3.3/8.5.4
