This morning, IBM has released Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2. The new release includes some fixes, especially for Android "Jelly Bean" and a rollup of fixes since UP1. There is also an update to the version of DB2 that is entitled as part of the Traveler HA configuration. The new server version provides support for to-dos/tasks on Android. We also expect to release an iOS client for to-dos/tasks in the app store..."soon, very soon."
I'll add more details to this post as the release rolls out.

@Rob,
I'm the product manager for Traveler and yes it can be confusing. Maybe this will help ... If you didn't upgrade to 8.5.3 UP1 .. then your fixes come from the 8.5.3.x stream. If you did upgrade to 8.5.3 UP1 (.100) then your fixes come from UP1 fix stream ...
You can upgrade to 8.5.3 UP2 from either stream depending on what functions/upgrades you want. The streams will converge with the next Traveler release that is part of Notes Domino Social Edition. Here is a link to a technote { Link }

@2, Eric and @Ed, can you reveal any plans to also support Journal/Notebook sync to a native iOS/Android client as the final missing piece?
It's been available for years on Symbian and I love having this functionality on my Nokia E7. It's one of the reasons that I'm still holding on to this device.

@Eric,
the new app for tasks in 8.5.3 UP2 is really great, but the German name for the app which is currently called "Unerledigte Aufgaben" should be renamed to "Aufgaben" (="tasks") - pic.twitter.com/zVH8jWvZ

@2, Our Traveler reports "Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3.3 Build 201209151353", which if is really trying to say 20120915_1353 as laid out in the current format on { Link } doesn't match anything. Is there a typo on the item that is listed as 20120915_1352? (ends in 2 vs 3?).

If I'm understanding it correctly, then "Notes Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2" is the most current/updated Traveler. Does it include support for the new multiuser feature in Android?
This was addressed in PMR # 43857,660,706, which provided an updated APK for Android and is discussed here: { Link } for UP1.
I poked around, trying to find a fix list that indicated as much, but am not having much luck.

I've found, and should note here that the "Recommended Maintenance - Lotus Notes Traveler" recommends the Android 4.2 hotfix be applied to Upgrade Pack 2.

Great! But... Upgraded to UP2 but my Apple iPhone 4s still says that I must upgrade my server to use To Do...
According to startpage: Lotus Notes Traveler Version: 8.5.3.200 Build 201211281055
What should I do?

The ToDo app has been posted on the Apple App store and is available for us.
In order for the app to sync data with your Notes ToDo's on both iOS and Android you must be running Traveler 8.5.3 UP2 on the server.
@10 Jacob ... You need to upgrade the Traveler server to 8.5.3 UP2 to sync ToDo's ...

I'm looking at getting a Nokia Lumia 920. The Nokia website says it supports Lotus Notes Traveler. Is that true for Domino 8.5.3 or for the next update?

@12 Bryan ,,, That is a Windows Phone 8 device and support for that device is part of the Notes 9 Social Edition public beta available now

@11 Eric, that's what I have done of course and that is what I meant with "Lotus Notes Traveler Version: 8.5.3.200 Build 201211281055", that is the version of the Traveler server after the upgrade. Guess it has to be yet another PMR...

@14 Jacob: Just re-enter your password into the account settings inside the To Do app. That's what did the trick for me. Looks like it imports Traveler connection settings from the iOS profile but not the password.

What is the optimal way to provide feedback and request tweaks to the iOS apps? We need the ability to sort the listings in the To Do application (By Priority, then select High/Medium/Low, and then be able to sort by title alphabetically). Thank you!

Regarding translations...
The german version of the iOS Traveler To Do app contains a button in the "Attachments"-sections in a "To Do" which is labeled "Be...en" on my iPad 2. I assume it means "Bearbeiten" (Edit), but the button seems to be to small to display the entire word. There is plenty of space for the button, so this should be corrected ;-)
"Attachments" is not translated as well (should be "Anhänge").
Another thing:
The category is labeled as "Listen" (lists), in the Notes-Client it is labeled as "Kategorien" (Categories), this seems a litte bit inconsistent.

Hi, we have some trouble here on 8.5.3.200 on Androids 4.1.1.
In the calender the agenda is not working fine. Only new documents and changed entrys showed up. On Android 2.3.5 its works fine. Thanks!

Polish translations are so wrong.. Please fix them. Texts do not even fit in the text fields.

Currently there is no official support for EAS on Android devices. Is there any plan to integrate ActiveSync for Android officially ?
This would give the users more choice, how they can work and integrate their corporate email, cal, etc.. Use widgets which they like, deeper integration with Android standard features and so on.
Many Android users including myself would really appreciate this.

It did not go on as easily as regular chalkboard paint, though. More difficult than the information would make it seem.

Thanks for sharing nice information with us. i like your post and all you share with us is uptodate and quite informative. Very likely I’m going to bookmark your blog

Good news on both, Ed.
I do wish it was more clear on the option one should choose to get the latest fix. Fix central options are: 8.5.3, 8.5.3.1, 8.5.3.2, 8.5.3.3, 8.5.3.100, and 8.5.3.200. And when selecting 8.5.3.3, the fix listed is 8.5.3.3 IF2. Not the upgrade pack, which apparently is 200.
I just spent 17 minutes downloading the wrong thing, I think.
